Ain't this just ducky? The Ninth Circus Court of Appeals overruled an Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship to vote, saying it exceeds federal law (merely requiring swearing you are a citizen, under pain of being charged with perjury.) Hmmm. Someone who is in this country illegally probably isn't real concerned with being charged with perjury. Just a wild guess, but if you read the news and see how many illegals are apprehended for murder and a host of other felonies, perjury is fairly tame. The federal courts must have an inordinate amount of imbeciles on the bench, and that should scare the hell out of any sane person. "Due process" is for American citizens, as are all the other rights enumerated in the Constitution. These are the same courts that grant enemy combatants due process, in lieu of military tribunals. It's rampant insanity. The courts will kill the very foundation they rest upon, and if We the People allow it, we'll regret it all too soon.

Total gear shift here. I'm drawn back into reminiscences. High school.... yep, the good ol' days. The absolute godsmack moment of that time was when one of the cheerleaders asked me why I didn't ask another of the cheerleaders to the prom. Helloooo, dumbass. This girl was so far out of my league it never even occurred to me. Apparently...she was only out of my league to me. I still figure everything happens for a reason, and what wasn't wasn't for some greater plan... but the curiousity remains. I think everyone has some times when they think what difference a random moment made. Nowadays, when given the choice, I tend to take the road that will likely get my happy ass killed... more fun that way. :)

There is no "moderate Islam." The wife of the ground zero mosque Iman claims they are receiving death threats, and that they paint her and other "moderate Islamists" with the same brush as the Taliban. Repeat: there is no moderate Islam. Read the Quran, or Koran, or however you want to pronounce it. There is no allowance for any other beliefs. There is no forgiveness for unbelievers. It is not a religion of peace. It is not forgiving, or considerate. It accepts nothing but absolute adherence. It is certainly a religion of warriors: one must kill the infidel, or make him convert. Don't attempt to sell me on Obama's b.s. about Islamism being peaceful. I've read enough of the Koran to know better. In the ultimate irony: it's a book purportedly by a prophet, yet contains no prophecy.

It's not just the sound of autumn leaves I hear on the wind. I can hear the squeaking of thousands of rats deserting the "S.S. Obama" as it slowly sinks. The mayhem has only just begun. Pelosi dismissed Congress with much left undone, so her minions can attempt fundraising and salvaging their careers back home before the inevitable house-cleaning. Madame Speaker can kiss her gavel goodbye. That's no excuse for being complacent, however. These paragons of pestilence will be voted out, but you have to VOTE to make it happen. Don't count on anyone else to do it for you. ( Except in Chicago, where even the dead vote on a regular basis.) No matter who you support or what you believe, express it. You can't gripe if you don't vote, after all.
